PASHA MALLA WINS THE TRILLIUM BOOK AWARD

Pasha Malla is the winner of the 2009 Trillium Book Award for The Withdrawal Method (House of Anansi). The Award is highly regarded nationally and internationally, and previous winners have included world renowned authors such as Margaret Atwood, Wayson Choy, Alice Munro, and Michael Ondaatje.

CAA LITERARY AWARDS

The 2009 Canadian Authors Association Literary Awards were announced on June 6. Congratulations to Nino Ricci, who won the CAA/MOSAID Technologies Award for Fiction for his novel, The Origin of Species (Doubleday Canada).

Pasha Malla is the recipient of the $10,000 DANUTA GLEED LITERARY AWARD for The Withdrawal Method (Anansi), judged the best English-language first collection of short fiction by a Canadian author published in 2008.
